Solid shampoo that I can recommend for straight hair, colored or not, thin or thick.  Also, if you have curly hair, you can give it a try, but if your hair needs extra care like for a skin condition such as dandruff, it might be better to use a different one.

I decided to use lavender essential oil as the perfume because it has the least allergens from all the essential oils that I know of.  It will not make your hair smell like lavender as I am not a big fan of strong fragrance on cosmetics.

To use the shampoo, wet your hair and massage with the bar to develop as much foam as you need.  In the beginning the bar is very hard and you might need to massage more, but as you use the bar it will foam faster.  If the bar were softer it wouldn't last as long.  Wash your hair like always.  You will see that you don’t need much shampoo to wash your hair.  It is the equivalent of two bottles of shampoo.

Please keep away from your eyes, as this is not a baby shampoo.

I believe in full disclosure so here is an explanation why I chose these ingredients.  I must say each one was thoroughly researched and carefully considered.

  • Rice flour strengthens and smoothens hair, removing frizz as hair is left silky and smooth. It repairs damaged hair due to its high amino acid content working intensely to nourish the scalp and hair follicles. It also improves hair elasticity resulting in less breakage and hair loss.
  • Shea butter is rich in fatty acids and other nutrients that are important for maintaining a healthy scalp and healthy hair. The high content of vitamins A, E and F helps keep hair soft and moisturized, which is especially important for people with naturally curly hair who often have dry hair and a dry scalp.
  • Made with three active cleansing agents (Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine) all derived from coconut palms. I chose three surfactants because I found that the more there are, the milder the shampoo.
  • Behentrimonium methosulfate is not a cleansing agent but a conditioning agent and is derived from rapeseed oil. It keeps your strands hydrated, eliminating dryness and frizz. It flattens the cuticles reducing frizz and making your hair soft, smooth, and shiny like never before.
  • Cetearyl Alcohol replenishes moisture, improves texture, and restores vitality to the hair. It is derived from plants like coconut and vegetable oil.
  • Sodium Lactate is a humectant moisturizer agent that hydrates your scalp, improving dry skin and conditions related to poor hair health.
  • Hydrolyzed Corn Protein and Hydrolyzed Soy Protein has antistatic properties, reducing static electricity on the surface of the hair, supplying conditioning. Leaves hair easy to comb, flexible, soft and shiny and gives volume, lightness and shine.
  • Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein is well-known for its strengthening properties and its ability to replenish the void of keratin with its cystine content. Moreover, hydrolyzed wheat protein prevents further weakening of your hair strands, which makes it an excellent choice for reviving damaged or chemically treated hair.
  • Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate and Lactobacillus/Cocos Nucifera Fruit Ferment Filtrate have moisturizing properties and can be used in hair care to help nourish the scalp and hair, leaving them soft and smooth.
  • Benzyl Alcohol, Dehydroacetic Acid, Aqua is one of the few preservatives authorized by Ecocert and is used in organic cosmetics.
  • Lavandula Angustifolia Oil is lavender essential oil. Linalool is a naturally occurring allergen in lavender essential oil.
  • Citric Acid is a ph regulating agent.
